Father’s Day Brunch and Lunch menu ideas

Enjoying brunch at a nice restaurant with a 2 year old has become quite the event. We pack up stickers, crayons, coloring books and yes even the mini iPad…..I’m not proud of it but it sure allows others around us to enjoy their meal. We usually end up eating in shifts or I end up not eating a lot. At the end of the meal you’ve paid a good amount of money for just 3 or 4 bites of a plate full of food that you were unable to really taste. Eating and actually tasting my food is a rare thing these days.

For Father’s Day we have decided to enjoy a nice, joyful, chaotic, action filled brunch at home. In looking through different sites I was able to find a good amount of recipes that dads are sure to enjoy!

From foodnetwork.com – Chorizo and Goat Cheese Quiche

From delish.com – Sausage and Polenta

Traditional Italian polenta can be served in a variety of ways. For the biggest eaters in your bunch, spice it up with sausage and sprinkle with Pecorino Romano cheese.

From Delish.com – Banana Split Cake

Instead of cake and ice cream, try a Father's Day dessert inspired by both. This gooey trifle overflows with layers of vanilla cake, vanilla pudding, whipped cream, bananas, and drippy chocolate sauce.
